Singing for the Brain sessions are structured group sessions for people with dementia and their carers based on music therapy through singing. The groups are led by a trained facilitator who will offer all the opportunity to socialise, receive and give peer support and engage and actively participate in singing in a supportive atmosphere.
Carers Support Group is a structured regular support group for the carers of people with dementia. Those attending will have the chance to discuss, amongst other things, the diagnosis of dementia and its consequences in an informal environment with other members of the group. This is the place to share concerns, experiences and coping mechanisms, as well as a place to make friends.
Both held at the Community Centre, Laburnum Walk.
